Dear Families of Brunswick Acres Elementary School,
Welcome to the Brunswick Acres School Community. As Brunswick Acres PTO board members, we would like to give you some information about our organization and encourage you to become involved in our organization.
We are an independent parent/teacher organization whose membership includes all parents, legal guardians, and teachers/staff at the Brunswick Acres School. Our Mission is to foster relationships and promote open communication between parents and staff of the Brunswick Acres School. It is our belief that the team effort of a parent teacher organization offers the best possible learning environment for our children.
The BAS PTO:
● Organizes fund-raisers to purchase supplemental educational and technology related materials.
● Sponsors after-school events/programs that promote physical or educational experiences for our students.
● Sponsors author visits and school assemblies that promote academic and cultural enrichment.
● Provides grants / assistance to teachers to supplement classroom materials and supplies.
● Offers scholarships for BAS alumni entering college.
● Fosters school and family social interaction.
● Provides an open forum for sharing information on issues that impact our children.
● Subsidizes field trip costs for our students.
● Provides assistance for members in need.
All of this is made possible through your membership contributions and participation in fundraisers that take place throughout the year.

By becoming a member, you help us offer programs to our students at lower entry/registration pricing. We also offer several opportunities for parents to volunteer and participate.
We encourage all parents, guardians, teachers, and the entire community to get involved, volunteer and support our students through our many activities during the year. It is our children that will reap the benefits of our involvement.

● Firefly Tennis: Starts Wednesday September 21st
6 week session
● Back to School Community Mixer: September 16th
Come meet up with your old friends and families and chat with local vendors that support our school and community. Held outdoors on the basketball blacktop area.
● Back to School Night: October 3rd
Details coming out shortly from building administration.
● 1st PTO Meeting: October 11th
Meet the PTO Board, BAS administrators, and teacher reps. Learn about our events this year and get grade-level insight into what your students are doing in school!
● Fall Festival: October 29th
Our favorite event is back this year with an emphasis on safety! It will be held outdoors.
● Scholastic Book Fair: October 25th-28th
The Book Fair is back! Purchases support our school and subsidize Author Visits.
